Cut the Waste, Fund What Works: UBI, Innovation, and Smarter Policing

--

If America wants to move forward, it’s time to stop bloating government and start investing in solutions that actually make sense.

A digital illustration showing a warehouse worker, a futuristic green cityscape, and a police officer in training , symbolizing the core themes of labor, innovation, and law enforcement reform. The headline “Cut the Waste, Fund What Works” is displayed boldly across the top.
“America doesn’t run on slogans — it runs on workers, builders, and protectors. It’s time we started funding what actually works.”

Here’s a truth we don’t hear enough:
The working class deserves a raise. The innovators deserve fewer handcuffs. And the police deserve respect, but they also deserve reform.

Meanwhile, we’ve got a federal system that piles on red tape, fuels generational welfare dependency, and then acts surprised when we fall behind China in renewable energy or struggle to recruit qualified police officers.

This country doesn’t need more bureaucracy. It needs clarity. And it needs a new playbook.

1. Pay the Working Class, Not the Welfare State

I believe in Universal Basic Income — but not the lazy kind. I want to see a working-class UBI.

  • Full-time employees receive the full benefit.
  • Part-timers get a proportional share.
  • Small business owners and independent contractors receive a reduced but fair stipend.

This version of UBI rewards effort. It’s designed to help people move forward, not stay stuck.
