Introduction:
When I was in high school, our physics teacher kept insisting that smart people look different, and you can tell who is the smartest. He said, these individuals usually have big ears or long foreheads. On the other hand, when I was younger, people used to tell me I looked pretty intelligent, but I never had those specific features that my teacher told me. I was wondering how they knew, or if they just wanted to flatter me.
Researches:
The University of St. Andrew
did an interesting research on this topic. Their main goal was to find the correlation between facial features and perceived intelligence. And their result was fascinating.
Their tests consisted of different parts. Participants were divided into two groups, those who voted and the one who were being judged. In the first and second tests, they photographed 50 men, 50 women and 90 children. Individuals must have a neutral face, without any jewellery and accessories.
