Does the Great “I Am" Proves Jesus is God ?
Not really , here’s why ..
The “I AM” is another trinitarian deception. Let me explain ,
John 8:56-58 (AV): “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am (egw eimi).”
Later, in John 9:9, a formerly blind man also uses the expression egw eimi. It was just a normal way of saying "I am (he)," and is no marker of divinity. Otherwise, the formerly blind man would also be claiming Godship.
Furthermore, at 1 Corinthians 15:10, the apostle Paul said "I am what I am," which resembles Exodus 3:14 in the Hebrew text. The King James and other versions translate this Hebrew phrase, ehyeh asher ehyeh, into English as "I am that I am." The mere use of a similar expression did not mean that Paul was claiming Godship.Hence, I Am or I Am What I Am Were commonly used .
Another Explanation
Furthermore, “Before Abraham was I am” means that Jesus was already in the plan of God like Jeremiah . Jesus “existed” in the plan of God. A careful reading of the context of the verse shows that Jesus was speaking of “existing” in God’s foreknowledge. Here is another example where a Prophet existed in the knowledge even before he was born, yet he was not at all Divine,
Jeremiah 1:5 – Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Why Jews stoned Jesus then?
Trinitarians claim that the Jews picked up stones to stone Jesus because he was claiming to be God (John 8:59), but that is an assumption. There is a different explanation that is supported by better evidence: the Jews picked up stones to kill Jesus because they understood he was claiming to be the Messiah.
At Jesus’ trial, the High Priest asked, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ” (Matt. 26:63). First of all, we should notice that no one at the trial asked Jesus if he were God. However, if they thought he had been claiming to be God, that would have certainly been a question they would have asked but such is never recorded anywhere. On the other hand ,
previous Hebrew prophets never claimed to be God. . Then why they were killed by the Jews ?
Jesus lashes out against his people:
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not”(Matthew 23:37).
Is it surprising that the Jews even stoned other prophets even though no one claimed to be God . Some non believers also threw stones on Prophet Muhammad ( pbuh) not because he claimed to be God but A messenger from Allah . So, throwing stones by non believers had been a common act throughout the history.
Hence , Jesus is not God .
Hence , Jesus' Own Words in John 17:3
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
Muslims believe there’s only one God and Jesus is the one sent by the God just like Jesus said here.

Is Jesus God or Son of God or Son of Himself?
