Trump’s foreign policy should be called, “A Game of Risk”
President Trump must be a huge fan of the game
I have fond memories of playing Risk with my friends in the summertime between school years. It’s a fun game, but it takes a long time to play. I remember epic games of Risk that took four or five hours, my 12-year-old buddies struggling and straining to keep their epic armies alive. We played different routes, used new strategies, trying our best to prevent our opponents from fortifying territories they wanted, all with the end goal of trying to take over the world!
Taking over the world is hard. I could only imagine that being the President of the United States is also hard. One would think, and hope, that those two things are mutually exclusive.
Of course, in reality, they are not. I can also imagine President Trump would love to rule the world.
Seems like a staple of his personality.
When it comes to his current foreign policy, our current president is simply implementing a policy and strategy based on the game of “Risk”. Sounds far-fetched but then again, this is a pretty out-there, crazy leader. It is why people love him so much.
It also tracks how you play the game.
