I’ve always known that the magnificence of nature is what can humble the soul and make it feel what is true and meaningful in our existence. 🌿

Plitvice Lakes National Park and its surrounding areas have been a site of human presence and inhabitation since prehistoric times. A region rich in water, forests, flora and fauna, natural shelters, and diverse relief has enabled humans to settle and live in this area.

This is the official site of the place:

My husband and I have long wanted to visit the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, but something always seemed to come up and ruin our plans. We have a tradition: around my birthday, which is at the end of March, we always plan a little trip — either within Bulgaria or abroad — depending on our possibilities and the days off we can take. 🌍

This year, we finally arrived in Croatia. Yesterday, we made a long trip from the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, to the small village of Jezerce, which is about 2 km away from the second entrance of the lakes.

The nature here is wonderful! Bright green grass, lovely forests, and peace…
