Interview With a Trans Woman Doctor From Sweden
A Talk Between a Transgender Doctor and Psychologist: Transitioning in Sweden, Immigration from Russia, and Surgeries. Part — 1
My name is Kira, and I’m a trans woman and counselor specializing in transgender care. Recently, I launched a project where I interview professionals working with the trans community and its members worldwide. My goal is to highlight diversity, raise awareness, and educate society about transgender people. I’ll be sharing text versions of these interviews on Medium.
This is the first part of my interview with Dr. Lea, a transgender woman from Sweden. She has been working as a doctor for over 25 years and kindly shared her story with me. I want to emphasize that Dr. Lea’s views are her personal opinions, and I may not always share them. However, I strongly believe that open discussions are essential for finding common ground.
