“Grace, please sit down. Pacing around the room is unlikely to speed up your release.
Grace sent Matt a chilly look over her shoulder, her gaze shifted to the bed and then back to his face, “I’ve been in that bed all morning and most of the afternoon. Climbing out of it and walking here to the window can’t exactly be called strenuous activity”, she replied then rolled her eyes as she turned once more to look out the window. She tuned out Matt’s mumblings behind her the best she could. Though she intently gazed out the window, she didn’t see the trees, the river, or even the people milling about in the waning afternoon sun. Her thoughts were centered on the changes she could feel within herself and in her marriage. As much as she wanted to go home, being cooped up with Matt right now might not be the best idea if she wanted to save her marriage.
But did she want to save her marriage?
