Author’s photo. I never know what sort of photo to use for this kind of article.

It’s been one year since I launched Policy Panorama in May 2024.

Since I don’t do newsletters or regular publication updates, this seems like a good moment to say thank you, share updates, and check in with writers.

Thank you to our readers

The sections below are mainly for Policy Panorama’s writers, but first, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who follows this publication and supports its writers.

Our articles have been viewed over 50,000 times in the past year.

Thank you!

What we set out to do here, and how it’s going

This publication seeks stories and essays that relate to public policy. We welcome professionals discussing their areas of expertise, as well as personal storytelling from laypeople who have been impacted by certain policies.

The internet is full of standard, just-the-facts journalism. There’s also plenty of sarcastic, one-sided political ranting. Here, we aim for a middle ground — informed, intelligent, and balanced writing that also incorporates the writer’s opinions, experiences, and personality.
