Employees Are Not Lenders

There is a disturbing habit amongst large organizations, government agencies, and businesses of all sizes. It’s one that places a burden on their employees that becomes much more significant as the cost of living increases.This habit is one that essentially allows employers to use their employees as a short-term lender to front business operations.

And it’s one that needs to stop.

When an employee travels on behalf of their employer, the cost needs to be borne by the employer from beginning to end.

No travel claims.

No reimbursements.

No waiting for a return of money that may represent an entire month’s wages for some employees. Not a single cent spent out of their own pocket on behalf of their organization.

I’ve been lucky enough to work for some really fantastic organizations.

Forward-thinking, caring and considerate when it comes to their customers and employees. Clear missions that I can get alongside and support. Organizations that I am proud to be a part of and to speak well of.
