Autumn Crimson Reverie

I covered the lamps
with crimson silks
closed the curtains
from the music room
leaning back in time
my eyes closed wide open
I still hear the chords
spilling on the floor

Please don’t wake me
let me dream
you are near
somewhere
here with me
the two alone
in the dark

I could swear
I felt the shiver of your hand
running through my hair
reveal yourself
forlorn apparition
I’m here
waiting for you
since forever
and a day

Suddenly the music
falls to the end
as the guitar strings
shred my soul
in a razorblade frenzy

A shiver
I feel the satin tunic
falling immaculate
off your shoulders
soaking the crimson floor
over the remnants
of a forsaken melody

I wake up alone
fireflies inside
the lamps
and the walls
are tainted red
