It’s Raining
Come again, sweet rain, but let us safely remain.
Silver threads from sky to earth,
softly stitching dreams anew.
Laughter dances on the leaves,
petals catch the morning dew.
Puddles mirror cloudy grins,
children’s feet in splashing play.
Rain writes music on the roof,
and washes all the gray away.
But sometimes rain forgets to stop,
And streets begin to flood and frown.
Umbrellas break, the world feels damp,
and sunny smiles are watered down.
