PHILOSOPHY-POLITICS
Aristotleโs Political Perspective
In todayโs world, political philosophy is more essential than ever before
โMan is by nature a social animal; an individual who is unsocial naturally and not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human. Society is something that precedes the individual. Anyone who either cannot lead the common life or is so self-sufficient as not to need to, and therefore does not partake of society, is either a beast or a god. โ
Political philosophy explores the complex interplay between intellectual, social, and political contexts. It seeks to explain and justify political phenomena, making it a blend of explanatory and normative research. This field examines the constitution and functioning of political societies or states and the dynamics of power and governance. Moreover, political philosophy grapples with social stratification, economic institutions, and the legitimation of inequality.
A key aspect of political philosophy is its interpretation of the political phenomenon in relation to the material factors shaping human social relations. It also examines the ideological mechanisms that justify and legitimize these relations.
