LinkedIn Is Not Boring (If Your Copy Isn’t)
How to Write Posts People Actually Read
Not a Medium member? You can still read it here — enjoy!
Let’s be honest.
Most people think LinkedIn is the land of suits, handshakes, and yawns.
But it doesn’t have to be.
LinkedIn can be fun. Creative. Even a little bold.
And the secret? It all starts with how you write your posts.
Whether you’re a freelancer, job-seeker, or someone who just wants to stop sounding like a robot, this post will show you how to write LinkedIn content that actually gets clicks, comments, and messages that start with:
“Hey, I loved your post!”
1. Hook First, Think Later
Your first line is everything.
It’s the difference between someone scrolling past or stopping to read. So ask yourself:
Would you click to “see more”?
Bad hook:
-“Today I want to share my thoughts about content strategy.”
Better hook:
- “I almost deleted this post because I thought no one would care. But here we go…”
