AI headshot generators are a rage all over the internet.

They make it easier than ever to create professional-quality profile pictures in just a few clicks.

All you need to do is upload a few selfies and input some basic details like age, gender, ethnicity, etc. These tools will generate 100+ polished headshots — perfect for LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, or your resume.

But are free AI headshot generators any good?

Most high-quality tools come with a price tag. From my experience, the free ones don’t always deliver.

Instead of just telling you, I decided to test three free AI headshot generators to see if they’re worth your time.

In this post, I’ll share my results, compare the outputs, and — at the end — reveal my absolute favorite AI headshot generator of 2025 (after testing over 10 tools!).

1. AIease

is not just a headshot generator tool, but it has a ton of other tools, like —

  • image watermark removers,
  • Magic Eraser,
  • background remover,
  • photo enhancer,
  • AI image generator, and so much more.

And the best part is, all of these are free.

AIease is something that’s definitely worth exploring if you’re keen about testing free AI tools.

But how does it fare as a headshot generator? Let’s take a look.

Two cool features of AIease —

  • You only need to upload one selfie, and
  • AIease will generate the picture for you in about one minute.

But are the results really good? I mean, look at this image.

AI headshot generated using AIEase

The eyebrows definitely look like mine. The overall face looks like me, but the picture feels like a cartoonized version of myself.

I mean, anybody who looks at this will be able to say this isn’t a real human, or even a real photograph. It’s apparent the picture is AI-generated.

Would I be using this as my LinkedIn profile picture? No, because it definitely does not look like a real photograph.

AIease is free, but the results are not that good.

2. Supawork.AI —

is a tool where you don’t even need to sign up or create an account to get your headshot. It has just three steps:

  1. Choose a style.
  2. Upload your selfie.
  3. Generate the images and download what you like.

It’s as simple as that.

Let’s see the results of Supawork.ai.

Weirdly, this AI tool gave me a bindi.

I have no idea why, because none of my original inputs had a bindi. I rarely wear a bindi unless I’m wearing Indian traditional wear, which is not something I would wear for a professional headshot.

But okay, Supawork generated a few more results. Let’s take a look at them.

AI headshot generated using Supawork

This one is…. bad, right? It doesn’t even look like a real human. It looks like… some bird wearing a suit. I’d definitely never use this picture anywhere, let alone my LinkedIn.

This is another picture generated by Supawork.ai, and again, it’s so bad.

I mean, the hair is also not fully generated, the face is so weird. Overall, somehow it sort of looks like me, but anybody who looks at this image can guess this is definitely not a photograph of a real person.

So yeah, Supawork.ai is free, it’s easy to use, it only takes one minute to generate your images. But is it really helpful when it comes to using these headshots on social media? No, it’s not.

3. Remaker AI —

has a free AI headshot generator tool.

Other than that, it also has some other AI tools like image-to-video, where you can combine two images and make them do whatever you want, which is crazy!

And it’s all for free.

But let’s take a look at the results of the AI headshot generator of Remaker AI.

This is the AI-generated headshot I got from Remaker AI.

AI headshot generated using Remaker.AI

This is a little better than the two previous headshot generators I showed you. This looks like a photograph of a real person.

But again, it has a bindi! Like, why? Why does it have a bindi when I’m clearly not wearing a bindi?

I believe since all these headshot tools require you to upload your ethnicity, and I chose my ethnicity as Indian, maybe these tools were trained on data where every woman from India wore a bindi. And that’s why Remaker AI thinks that Indian women always wear a bindi.

I don’t know the real reason, but the bindi is my problem.

Also, you can say that this picture is not real. Like, there’s something artificial about it — the hair, the skin. It doesn’t look very natural.

This is another image I got from Remaker AI. This one is without the glasses. It looks better than the other images, but this is not something I’d be comfortable using as my LinkedIn profile picture or even on my social media.

I can tell that this is not real. This looks very artificial.

So these were the three free AI headshot generator tools.

Now that I showed you what free tools are capable of, let’s take a look at the difference $35 can make.

Free AI Headshot Generators Versus Paid Tools

The cool tool I’m talking about is called .

has the most photo-realistic and customizable AI headshots available on the internet today. I can’t wait for you to see the amazing, stunning, studio-like photo shoots it generated for me.

This is the first headshot I got from .

Just look at it! It looks so natural and so beautiful.

If I show this to my friends, I’m sure they would not be able to say this is not a real picture. You can see the skin is not perfect — it has shades and blemishes. The hair is not perfect. It’s like how my hair is — it’s not very blow-dried, and it doesn’t look super perfect.

It looks very natural, and the lighting and the background — everything is compatible.

This AI headshot looks really nice. I’m definitely very comfortable using this picture on my YouTube, Instagram, on my LinkedIn as well.

This is another picture generated for me.

This one is without the glasses, but you can see the face, the smile, the eyes, the hair — everything looks so natural. I have some baby hair on my forehead — was able to generate even that.

It’s amazing an AI tool is able to capture the reality of my face to such an extent!

This is the third image.

AI headshot generated using

This is like me sitting in an office, working on my laptop, which is such a cool picture. It has that professional, casual, business-lady vibe, and I’m definitely comfortable using this as my LinkedIn profile picture.

I bet you can now see the difference between free tools and paid tools when it comes to AI headshot generators. In my experience of testing 10 AI headshot generators, definitely tops the list.

BetterPic pricing

pricing

For $35, you get 20 headshots. has three pricing plans. I picked the expert version that gets you 120 headshots for $79.

As a content creator, 120 headshots is a great reward for me because I can use it for my content across multiple social media platforms. It’d save me so much time and energy from having to click a picture every time I plan a new piece of content.

Are free AI headshot generators worth the time and effort?

Summing up quickly, the three free AI headshot generators I tried are:

All three free AI headshot generators give decent results in terms of quality and are fun if you’re willing to experiment. But if you want to use these headshots on your LinkedIn profile or your social media platforms, there’s no way you can use them.

The results generated by free AI headshot generators don’t look human at all.

However, if you want to try out AI headshots and actually use these pictures on your social media profiles and LinkedIn, the best option to go with is .
