The Anti-vax Healthcare Workers Won
Québec Government bows to pressure
On Wednesday, the Québec government completely the idea of mandating healthcare workers be vaccinated:
The loss of unvaccinated staff would have had a “devastating effect on the system,” according to the health ministry.
The anti-vaxxers won, and public safety is on the line.
I wrote about their initial stance in a previous article, where the powers-that-be demanded all healthcare workers needed to be vaccinated by October 15, or they would be suspended.
Two days shy of that deadline, they extending the mandate for another month. Their rationale? "That the goal was unattainable." It appears the whole system was going to collapse as there were so many care providers still unvaccinated.
Now, they've done a complete 180 and bowed to pressure a couple of weeks before the November 15 deadline. I am not the only one left scratching my head and with my jaw dropped in disbelief.
