Mystery of My Suspended Medium Account and The Missing Comments and Claps
It took me through a rabbit hole of scary thoughts
Yesterday, after many years we cleared our loft. Our front yard was filled with scrap materials, floor tiles, wooden planks and whatnot — all destined to either die or get a new life in our local waste and recycling centre.
By around 5 p.m., I had loaded my car the third time to carry the garbage to the skip. Before setting out, I came inside the house to get a glass of water. As I was gulping down the water, I saw the screen of my laptop glowing from the dining room.
Let me check the stats again.
I was excited about my latest Medium article. It got boosted — my first.
It’s about catching and rescuing a wild elephant in India. It’s doing great. I had put loads of effort into it with multiple reviews and feedback. It painstakingly took more than a week to complete.
Anyway, coming back to my laptop, I refreshed the page. A red banner popped up, saying, “Your account was found in violation of the Medium Rules. Learn more about the reasons for suspension.”
