In the beech forest known as The Dray Grove, a grouchy troll named Juma searched for his next hideaway to scare up some grub for the coming Summer season. The winters younglings were scarce and every dray in the woods was empty now.

He much preferred a juicier meat from some small bird eggs to plump new warthog piglets and the occasional grubs in a broken stump. Moving around was not his favorite method to find food.

Today was the day he found a hollow log. He prepared it quickly to bed down in. He found peace in the silence.
