Love embodies the torrents of the river

A crisp snowmelt at mountain’s crest,

inflowing along the natural pull of the Earth

carrying sunbeams streaming citrine,

jeweled bubbles bounce as she assists dawn’s break;

A playful muse, always changing her course

forging new beauty, free and wild

sculpting secret waterfalls and sparkling streams

through unexplored canyons in rapids' timeless rhythm

a force alive and familiar;

She softens sharp edges of restless worry

hidden in the tall grasses that hold guard along the banks

her water waving back to the aspens’ applause in peridot;

At sunset, she empties herself into a meadow’s clear pool

inviting Selene to bask in her stillness;

Her presence drifts across your skin

You turn to glance at her reflection

— and lose your breath.
