It’s 6am. You roll over and snooze your alarm again. Besides, you don’t have to work until 9am, right? But you ended up regretting it and feeling groggy. This cycle repeats everyday.

This is until you ask God for strength. You can’t do it alone. You start the morning with Him instead of your phone.

Curb morning doom scrolling and open up your windows to let in natural light. Boost your cortisol.

Then, borrow my 30 minute morning routine and watch everything change.

1. Bible

I start every morning with one chapter of the Bible, highlighters, a pen and a pencil. I’m currently reading in Jeremiah.

I use colorful highlighters to highlight text that stands out to me. I also underline verses that I want to memorize with a pen.

With a pencil, I make simple notes in the margin next to the highlighted verses to add context and commentary . I use a pencil in case I want to erase or change my notes.

I don’t take complex notes everyday, but when I do, I like to use this method.
