Pt. 2: Don’t Let the Enemy Plant His Flag In Your Heart

🏈 College Football’s rivalry week over the Thanksgiving weekend got a bit out of hand, with many visiting teams behaving like poor house guests. Brawls and skirmishes littered the college landscape from Florida to South Carolina to Ohio and beyond.

The biggest battles began at several stadiums when the visiting team pulled off a win and planted their team flag at the 50-yard line of their home team host. The enemy invasion and lack of manners did not go over well, leading to the home teams rising to defend their turf.

I shared more details about these skirmishes in my first article, “Don’t Let the Enemy Plant His Flag On Your Home Turf (Pt. 1)”. I will not recall all of the details, but I do want to return to this imagery of the enemy planting his flag in our hearts.
