Shush Don’t Make Any Noise, There is someone Outside our Room
That night was one of the scariest for me.
It was 3 am and my sister (3 years old)was about to fall from bed, and mum grabbed her with her eyes closed. Mum woke up to put my sister beside her in a safe place.
The white light was flashing on the blanket cover; it felt like a dream to Mum, but then the light came to her pillow. At that moment, she realised electricity was out, so this light is something else.
She looked at the window on her right side, and there was someone flashing the light towards us. She gave me a nudge, saying
Shush, don’t make any noise and don’t move, look outside can you see someone flashing the light?
I cleared my eyes and peeked out of my blanket to see and there he was, his face resting on the window, and a small light flashing towards us. It took me few minutes to process what was happening.
I was only 12 years of age, and this was the first time something like this happened. It was nothing less than a shock to mind and body. Both of us were numb thinking “what should we do now?”.
