I’ve always been interested in the idea of open relationships. With all the ugly divorces floating around me as I was growing up monogamy started to look like something that’s nice on paper, but impossible to implement in the real world.
Kinda like communism.
I suggested keeping our relationship open to my first boyfriend. He freaked out.
I suggested it to my second boyfriend. He freaked out more.

We lived in an open relationship for four years and I don’t regret any of the mistakes we’ve made.
