Is this girl beautiful?

Yes, she’s quite gorgeous.

But something else that is beautiful is that she is owning that short hair.

There is totally a connection between hair and beauty.
More specifically, long hair and beauty.

The media portrays long hair as beautiful. Therefore, this is what most young girls grow up thinking.

I was suckered into that belief when I was in my teens and 20s.

I had the longest hair of anyone I knew. I was so proud of it. It was almost to tailbone length when I started to cut it shorter and shorter.

I was one of those girls who would sit in the hairdresser’s chair and say, “Just a trim, I don’t even want to notice it gone.”

Then go home and cry because she ended up taking more than I wanted.

I am sure many could relate!
