Feminism, to Me: A Perspective on Equality and Choice
Opinion

There isn’t really much need to introduce this topic. However, I felt the need to put down my opinions on the debate regardless of the matter of their correctness. Having said that, I obviously don’t claim to have some sort of a superior understanding of this. All thoughts that I jolt down, are thus, strictly just opinions.
From what I have understood, feminism is the fight to empower women. It’s about ensuring we don’t lag in opportunity, resources, and/or the right mindset and/or guidance. That, honestly, sounds to me like the only definition that should be correct. Extrapolating the sentence or adding a few subtopics doesn’t change the core of the matter.
There’s a lot of noise around and about terms like ‘pseudofeminism’ or ‘modern feminism’ so to speak. I believe the opinions related to these are just misunderstandings of the matter.
Modern feminism is believed to have been disguised to be a form of pulling the other gender down just to feel superior about oneself. Sparking debates over both genders, people have made statements like not needing men or anyone else who doesn’t understand the sentiment of what feminism actually is, and I agree.
