There is no reason for anybody to be poor anymore.

This is especially true in places like the U.S. We have more than enough resources for everyone. The problem isn’t that we can’t produce enough. The problem is greed.

Some people struggle to find interesting new ways to waste money (see bed parties, below) while others struggle to meet their basic needs.

We have more than enough housing.

Much of it sits empty while families live on the street. Read this jaw-dropper of a piece put out by the United Way of the National Capital Area,

We spend the most and get the least of all industrialized countries because we utterly refuse to fix our convoluted system. Since it benefits the powerful, the rest of us must suffer.
