I posted an article about my homemade chicken stew a few days ago, but I fear I posted it to the wrong publication and it may not garner much attention.

Be that as it may, the chicken stew was still very good as were the homemade cornbread muffins I made the next day.

As mentioned in my article, I was planning to make my recipe for Jambalaya later in the week, which I did and it, too, is very delicious. I use my own variation of Chef John’s Sausage and Shrimp Jambalaya recipe. I took this off one of the internet recipe sites a few years ago and adopted it to our tastes here.

His original recipe has way too much cayenne, paprika and cumin in it, which may appeal to some folks who like to eat with snot and tears running down their face because of the extraordinary spice amounts.

We don’t care for that at my table.
