What Bud Light and Trump Have In Common

Well, lots of things, but let me make my point

I’ve barely paid attention to the tempest in a beer can because I seldom drink beer and when I do, it’s not Bud Light.

But then I read some details about the conservative boycott against the beer. It turns out that most of the angry conservatives who boycotted the beer were doing so because they didn’t even know what the fuck was going on.

You probably know that the marketers at Bud Light gave a can of beer to a transgender influencer with her picture on it.

It was just a gift. She’d done a sponsored Bud Light post on her social media that nobody objected to, and the personalized can must have seemed like a small gesture.

Oh, no. Not to conservatives.

An aside: What do I call these people? They aren’t really conservatives. I don’t really have a problem with actual conservatives, but that’s not what these people are. We need a better name. Whack-a-doodles? Dumbasses?

Anyway, it turns out that many people thought was available in stores, or that Bud Light had made a television commercial with the can. Neither are true. They based all their outrage and their boycott on…
