‘This Will Only Take You 15 Minutes a Day, So What’s Your Excuse’ and Other Bullshit People Say

Just because you can do it doesn’t mean everyone can.

People are always telling us we need to find some extra time in our day to work out, meditate, start a side hustle or something.

“It will only take you half an hour, and if I can do it, so can you. We all have the same 24 hours per day!”

It’s true that we all have the same 24 hours to work with, but it’s also not true.

Compare someone raising several children while working a demanding job versus someone with an empty nest who is retired, to give one obvious example.

Some people work from home, while others have long commutes that eat up a lot of their day. Some people have to work more than one job while others don’t have to work at all.

Some people are able to hire someone to clean their homes, maintain their lawns, groom their pets and nanny their kids around to activities, which others have to take care of all these things themselves.

We don’t all have the same 24 hours per day.
