Abortion
The Abortion Reduction Act of 2023
Here’s where both sides can come together
Imagine the U.S. setting aside political differences to accomplish something everybody claims to want: Fewer abortions.
Fewer unwanted pregnancies.
Fewer teen moms.
Imagine if both parties came together and passed something called the Abortion Reduction Act of 2023, which would provide comprehensive sex education for every student, and free contraception for everyone who wanted it.
Imagine every teenage girl being able to finish her education without trying to also care for a baby. Imagine fewer of these young moms heading impoverished families trying to survive without enough money. Imagine every baby being planned for and wanted.
It’s what we all want, right?
We aren’t even close to that, but we could be. We have the means but not the will.
We have the technology, but not the culture.
Instead, we pass increasingly draconian laws against abortion while refusing to make contraception and sex education more available.
