Some of My Favorite Writers on Medium So Far

I’m just touching the tip of the iceberg

When my friend Michelle Teheux told me about Medium, I was intrigued. She said I should give it a try. I’m always down for a side hustle to make ends meet these days, but more importantly, I was excited about having a creative outlet again.

After losing my job at a newspaper in 2019, I stopped writing, although, toward the end of my career, I wasn’t doing much of that anymore. As a manager, I dealt with other not-so-fun uncreative tasks.

I love to write and now I have a platform to share my passion for telling stories again.

Michelle suggested that I read other writers on Medium and she recommended her choices and ones that she thought I’d enjoy. I favor memoirs, specifically ones about nostalgia or growing up in the 1970s. I love to read stories about real-life experiences, whether, good, bad, funny, or sad. It’s meaningful to relate to and connect with others about what makes us human. While reading about others’ life experiences, I feel like I’ve made new friends as I share in their triumphs and tribulations.
