Sex Is Not a Capitalist Good
Like water and air, it’s supposed to be for everyone
Sexuality is so widely used as a capitalist tool that we seem to forget that sex exists outside the realms of sales and entertainment.
Forbidden fruit always sells. If we had a matter-of-fact attitude about sex, it would be a lot harder to use it to sell products.
If we didn’t see sexuality as a capitalist tool, we’d probably all be having a lot more of it.
It’s hurting us.
Today I read someone claim marriage and motherhood “desexualize” women, and it made me angry.
Moms, just like everyone else, are sexual beings.
Sex is for moms, too. It’s for older people. It’s for fat people and thin people. Ugly people and beautiful people.
It’s for any adults who want to have sex and who are able to find adults who want to have sex with them.
