No Country For Old White Men

My husband put down The Wall Street Journal and shook his head.
“I am reading about all the things going wrong in the world, and old white men are in charge of all of them,” said my husband, a white man of almost 60.
Older white men still largely rule the world.
They think they are doing a good job. If there’s anything older white men have in abundance, it’s confidence.
Here’s a story that illustrates how unimportant it is for old white men to actually be good at their jobs.
The old guard of a certain bank didn’t want to spend any money on digital ads, their marketing team admitted at a meeting I attended. In fact, the old guard balked at paying for the bank’s website.
The marketing guys were getting nervous. “If we don’t pay it, our website is going to shut down,” they warned the old guard.
