Jan. 20, 2025 — Another Dark Day for America
Is this the end of our Democracy and planet?
I have lived through many dark days in our country, days that will linger in my mind until I die. Jan. 20, 2025 will be added to the list as a convicted felon, an unscrupulous man with no redeeming character, will once again represent America.
The integrity and reputation of America will forever be tainted by his return to office. He will NEVER be a reflection of my values or of those who always saw the truth about him. I feel repulsion the rest of the world thinks he was given a mandate when the election was the fifth slimmest win in our history of 248 years.
I will not be watching the inauguration or any news surrounding it. In fact, I have limited my news exposure to “what I need to know” instead of absorbing the daily horrors of what is coming. I understand how we got to this point; the lies, misinformation, misogyny and racism his voters bought into. I know there will be many regrets from those voters when the cloud lifts from their eyes and realize he was never for them. Only white, wealthy and powerful men will benefit from what is coming. The rest of us are all screwed as they put in policies to destroy our democracy, planet and shift even more wealth to themselves. The rule of law…
