It is Disheartening to Live in the U.S. Now

As I glean the news feeds for my podcasts every week, I get more and more depressed about the continually deteriorating situation in this country, and the fact that we are starting to drag our northern neighbors down with us.

A Medium article (link below) shows the differences between the entitled rich people running our governmental institutions and those of us caught in the middle of the culture war.

In her article, she adds a video from Jon Stewart talking to Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks, in which Stewart eviscerates this government official mercilessly. It’s not about Stewart so much as it is about Hicks’ attitude as Stewart is talking to her. This is how our elected officials treat us when they get elected or appointed.
