I Was a Medium-sized Success in 2022

I made $8K in less than a year on here. Let’s join forces in 2023!

How did you do in 2022?

I made $8,155 on Medium in 11 months, most of it toward the end of the year. I wrote and made nothing at all in January, and almost nothing in February. Then I decided to go all-in from March on.

My plan was simple: I would write like mad and see what happened. Perhaps, I thought, it might be possible to make $100 per month.

Maybe.

I quickly surpassed that goal.

I have mostly self-published in my own little publication, Minds Without Borders, and I’ve zipped past my original goal of $100. In December, I made $1,764, and now I’m wondering if it might be possible to make $2,000 per month.

I’d like to get there, and I’d like to help other writers get there, too, but I don’t want to sell a course or write endless clickbaity stories about making money on here. (Like this one. If you want to criticize me for it, that’s fair.)

Up to now, I’ve treated Minds Without Borders as my own little thing, but I want this publication to branch out. I think there’s a place for people who don’t care to put themselves into a box. So…
