How To Be Sure Your Dogs Hate Trump Enough

Differences in political opinion have ripped some families apart.

Well, not here.

I feel fortunate to have very liberal dogs.

I can tell.

Cashew, an elderly tripod beagle-mix, and Mr. Joe, a middle-aged terrier/terror, have never once rolled their eyes when I listen to NPR in the morning. I can tell they like it.

They patiently wait for me to finish reading the news each morning at the kitchen table. I make sure to read some of it aloud, complete with commentary, so they know what’s what. There will be no ill-informed dogs in this house!

I can tell that they are interested and definitely aren’t just hanging around the kitchen looking at me because they’re expecting a treat.

I feel sorry for the dogs of Trumpers.

Just imagine having to listen to FOX News all day. The poor things! Normally, dogs would be all about chasing foxes, but having the fox trapped right in their living room is just confusing to them.

If I watched TV news, you can bet it would be something liberal that would get my dogs’ tails wagging.
