Everyone Should Be Trying Their Best To Get Rich

So what do we do about the happy poors?

True happiness requires lots of money, so if you want to have a good life you must spend most of your waking hours earning as much of it as you can.

Most of us understand this, but there is a minority of people who just do not get it. They persist in spending so-called “quality time” with their friends and family and in other unpaid pursuits rather than working late: Some of them do not even have a side hustle!

Like so many other things, the pandemic made this problem worse. Quite a few people were infected with the idea that you could stay home and save money instead of going around spending your money as fast as you could make it.

Some people got into the habit of spending their evenings making nice meals at home with their family rather than visiting trendy restaurants. In many cases, their savings accounts became dangerously large as a result.

It’s the end of the world as we know it.

It seems like only three years ago that most workers — their credit cards maxed out — were so fearful of losing their jobs that they’d routinely work long, unpaid hours.
