I Hit “Reply All” and Regretted It Immediately
And no, there was no undo button—only the deep, slow horror of realization
Only one person was intended to receive it.
I just wanted to send a quick message. Something you say without much thought.
Was there really a need for that meeting?
Nothing too extreme. But… not for every individual.
After that, I pressed “Send.”
I was happy with what I had done.
It wasn’t until five seconds later that I looked at it again.
“Reply all.”
Sent to ten people.
Don’t forget to mention who was managing the meeting.
I felt my heart sinking.
A slip into trouble, rarely a sudden collapse.
The type that makes you nervous and fills your head with worry,
“Please let me believe this isn’t real.”
It wasn’t.
The Immediate Spiral
I shut down my laptop.
Reopened it.
I googled “how to unsend an email in Gmail” as if it were a matter of life or death.
