What Lord Krishna Asked and What I Learned About Life

I have always asked myself about life — why we are here, what we are meant to do, and how to stay at peace when everything feels so uncertain. One day, I was reading the Bhagavad Gita, and I noticed something I had never really noticed before. We always discuss the answers Krishna gave to Arjuna, but then I began studying the questions that Krishna asked, too. They made me stop and think long and hard about myself and how I live.
This article is my reflection on a few powerful questions Krishna asked and the lessons I’ve learned from them.
1. “From where has this weakness come?”
When Arjuna drops his bow, refusing to fight in the war, Krishna asks this direct question. He doesn’t scold him. Instead, He gently challenges Arjuna to look within.
When I read this, I recalled the times that I quit, times that I let fear or sorrow stop me from continuing to do what I needed to do. Krishna’s question was directed to me, too. It prompted me to ask myself:
Am I holding back because of uncertainty?
Am I letting fleeting emotions be my obstacle to my purpose?
This question made me step back, look within, and face the moment with fearlessness.
