Happiness in a Cup of Tea

The little things make all the difference

It’s like sunshine on a rainy morning. When I pour myself a cup of love my day instantly brightens.

A beautiful English tea with a bit of milk sets my heart on fire. Seriously, it takes that little to make me happy.

I used to think I needed material things — fancy cars, diamond rings and expensive clothes. Not anymore. Although I wouldn’t say no if you felt the need to donate.

Sitting on the couch with my two snuggle bugs squished up against me while I sip my tea and read them a book brings me pure joy.

Listening to them laugh as I imitate the various characters fills me up. Add a second cup of tea and life couldn’t be better.

After a rough night of sleep, tea picks me up and brings me back to life.

There are, of course, other things that make me happy.

  • Colouring with my daughter.
  • Drawing with my son.
  • Watching a great movie.
  • Date night with my husband.
  • Dancing with my kids.
  • Writing.
  • Reading a fantastic book with a phenomenal ending.
