Sound of Rain and Thunder
When there were none
When Brad got up on a Sunday morning, he heard the heavy pounding of rain. It was pouring the previous night, and Brad was hoping it would stop in the morning. When he opened the blinds, he was confused to see outside bright and sunny. Not a single drop of water was falling. Why was he hearing the rainfall?
When he ran downstairs, he saw his wife glued to the Television. She raised her head and asked, “Do you hear the rain too?” The Breaking News on CNN screamed about the mysterious rain sound in east LA.
Just then they heard a roar of thunder. It was so loud it scared the hell out of them.
Josh was early when he reached the office on Monday morning. He pushed the door that said Heaven’s Sound Engineering and entered. His attention was immediately drawn to the flashing LEDs on the sound effects machine. Doubtful, he checked the schedule. He was right. It wasn’t supposed to be playing any sound on Sunday and Monday. Muttering “stupid machine” under his breath, he reached out and pressed the stop button.
He wondered how he was going to explain this to God later that day.
