Your body is smarter than you think
Some of the most helpful advice I’ve ever heard in the productivity space is to do things as soon as you think of them. If you think- “Hey, I should empty the dishwasher,” do it right then. If, instead, you sit down on the couch and tell yourself you’ll do it in a few minutes, chances are hours will fly by with the dishes still sitting there.
There are so many benefits to completing tasks when they are at the forefront of your mind. Doing things “now” ensures things get done. Rather than relying on motivation or on dedication, you simply rely on your body’s ability to act without thinking. It is quite powerful and quite helpful.
But, sometimes, it can have downfalls.

Now this piece is about health and weight loss. And I’ll admit, some of the best advice I’ve heard in the weight loss space has been to do things as soon as you think of them. It’s changed my entire fitness routine.
