Even Chocolate Melts
The hero of the story is a schoolboy
He wore soft loose clothes that eclipsed him
And heard rock music that leaked from his earphones
when he took strolls in the school corridors.
All his days passed no different than the last
Until one summer when he fell for the new girl
For her eyes and lips when she smiled and laughed,
Which made his head turn and his belly churn.
He tried to take it easy
And suppressed the signs, his feelings
But his body would shiver if she got too near.
Even his faithful friends urged him on
She seems interested in you (among some other lies).
Our hero gave in to the smiles and lies.
His friends gave him amazing ideas
Flowers? Bouquets? Maybe chocolates can work?
He panicked when he heard the news —
If delayed further, she’ll be somebody else’s muse.
Threatened, he stuffed a chocolate bar in his pocket
And approached her in the corridor.
Sweat poured down his body when
He told her what she meant to him.
She froze, then stared, then spoke –
‘Mm. Okay.’
