Local Libraries Offer Way More Than Books
Let me preface by stating this will vary depending on your local library. From my research, it seems common for other libraries to offer similar subscription services for free. The services might be different at your library and it is possible they might not be offered at all.
The local library truly is an amazing service to the community. You can check out nearly any book you would like. If they don’t have it, there’s a decent chance they have a way to get it into your hands. The cool thing is, that the services offered go way beyond providing books to the community. You might be able to find a class, rent a room, learn about 3D printing, and so much more.
My local library is the which is located in Kansas. You can access several subscription services. These are absolutely free for residents who possess an active library card! The one that attracted me the most was (affiliate link). They offer many high-quality courses in a wide range of subjects. Lately, I’ve been listening to audiobooks. I have enjoyed the free access to Libby. There are so many options available. All for being part of this not-so-secret club.
