When I Sit With Me
It is so amazing when I think of...
I was thinking Minds have a funny way of wandering — one moment, I am imagining myself in a rocket, and the next, I am lost in a completely new dimension of my thoughts.
In one such weird moment, a thought hit me: “I have spent my whole life living, but have I truly spent time with myself?”
Strange, right? At least, it felt that way to me.
We dedicate hours to work, to family, in household chores, with colleagues, in entertainment, and in travel. But do we ever really sit with ourselves? If you were to calculate the actual time spent in your own company, how much would it be?
Say if you spend an hour a day just for you and If you are 30 years old, that means you have only spent 1.25 years — out of your entire life — truly being with you.
Kinda eye-opening, isnt it?
Self-reflection is one of those things we all assume we do naturally. But do we? We think we know ourselves, but studies show that only a small fraction of people are truly self-aware. That means most of us are just going through life on autopilot, reacting instead of reflecting.
Believe me, knowing yourself, it will not happen naturally. You have to set aside special time for this. You have to put in effort to do…
