You Have a Right to Protect Your Sacred Space of Sweet Serenity
There are times when it is magnificent to shut the world out.
Mental health is getting so much more attention these days.
But the term isn't just "buzz words." Conversations about one's health should never be determined by only what is physical.
I used to live for the weekend.
Particularly from sunset Friday evening through sunset Saturday evening. Those hours are when I enter into Sabbath rest. It is when I unapologetically tune the world and the busyness of life out and recharge.
I am known to protect my space and the sacred Sabbath hours jealously.
And for those who truly know me, it is no surprise that affording me a peaceful environment and plenty of alone time on any given day are treasures I immensely enjoy.
In my corporate days, I used to share with my colleagues that I truly live and thrive on the weekends. The weekends are when I have sacred, uninterrupted time to…just be.
There is typically no schedule I need to begin and end my day on, and I love the appeal of having blocks of time where I determine how that time is spent from start to finish.
