Due to my traumatic background, I tend to stay invisible. I don’t want to get in trouble or make waves; I just want peace.
I live with my stepmom and feel very grateful to have a roof over my head. I have been renting a room in her house for the past couple of years. Although I would love to have my own place, whether as a rental or a purchase, I face challenges due to the extremely high cost of living in my state. Both rents and property prices are outrageous.

My belongings clutter the kitchen, which she finds frustrating. It’s challenging to live in a house without having my things around, especially in shared spaces like the kitchen.
