Worn, Weary, Wisened
Strength is born from pain.
a tree in drought,
grows deep roots,
searching for water,
fighting for life,
survival builds strength,
a woman weary,
just birthed a child,
learning to love,
raising with no knowledge,
prepares her to birth another,
an apprentice broken,
failure from poor skill,
pushed to his limits,
frustrated and tired,
is forged into a master,
a child innocent,
shown evil and pain,
injustice and rage,
rose-tinted no longer,
is transformed into a man,
pain is not obsolete,
suffering is a service,
potential for potential,
opportunity for wisdom,
it offers a chance to overcome.
Where is your pain leading you?
Fire smelts metal to be transformed into something beautiful and intentional.
We must also traverse through fire to be fashioned into our greatest potential.
