The Un-LIVED Life
The life I dream of, and the man I want to be
Blessed is an educated mind,
For it comprehends so many things profound
And see their lack in the present
Longing for an escape vessel…
To discover the life un-lived still
And escape what is, to what could be…
The people and places I have only read about…
Are they real, I wish to scout…
The vineyards in France…
The Walkways in Venice…
The birthplace of Ferrari and Lamborghini…
To sit in a Rolls Royce, and feel the thrill of a Ducati…
To see the great migration in Africa…
To bow to Christ in Rio…
To dine and wine at the top of Eiffel tower…
To dance listening to Mariachi in a Mexican bar…
To be overwhelmed when I attend my first opera…
And gasp in awe of the castles in Scotland…
To picnic on a fjord coast in Norway…
To enjoy a drive to Ladakh and Leh…
To play my Guitar around a campfire…
Amidst family and underneath a starry night…
To dance with joy and carelessness,
To live for myself, not to impress…
So much have I read and seen and searched
In stories, movies, and google…
As much as I am grateful for today and now…
My soul yearns to do so much more, but How?!…
How and when will I live stories that I have only heard…
To become what I have always dreamt…
To write and reach millions around…
And spread hope and faith and love abound…
I hope my life’s portrait is coloured…
With textures of growth, from a palette of confidence…
For how will I be what I want to become…
If I don’t believe in the universal wisdom,
That all you can see, is all you can be…
All you need, is a vision and self-belief…
There is so much to live for…
So much to do before death knocks on my door…
As I see my daughter enjoy the open park…
And I hear the birds chirping around…
Today’s morning fills me with hope…
And I smile, believing I will cope…
With whatever Life brings to me,
For in my journey lies the possibility, of growth…
And to become and be…
All that I see within me…
I must find solace in discomfort…
And peace in change…
With that perhaps, this journey will take its course,
With my dreams and ambitions as its source…
I’ll become all that I must be…
And live the un-lived life, finally…
