My Client Told Me She Wanted To Die

And the fascinating conversation that continued from there.

For those of you who don’t know, I am a personal trainer.

As such, my work requires me to talk with people regularly for an hour at a time.

As you can imagine, this means I have conversations with people of all types — happy, sad, fun, boring, shallow, deep, etc.

Yesterday, I had an intriguing conversation with a client of mine who I have trained three times per week over the last year.

The Russian Woman

For this conversation, I will affectionately call my client, ‘The Russian Woman’ (or RW).

The Russian Woman has had a tough life:

• Moved around a lot when young.
• Two divorces, first husband involved in a Russian crime mafia.
• Near-death experiences.
• Many health issues.
• Almost lost her successful business due to the war in Russia.

That can provide just a little background to our conversation which I will try to detail below, attempting to make it as concise as possible without missing out on any important detail.
